The Christian relationship is that we are born of God (John 1:12-13), having been made sons of God through faith in Jesus Christ (Gal. 3:26). All duty and responsibility incumbent on an individual is the result of the particular relationship he is in. Christians are born of God and have the duty to live, act, and speak according to Christianity, the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ. Turn the other cheek, go the extra mile, give them your tunic along with your cloak; love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you. Your Father in heaven does the same and He is the one you are emulating as children of God (Matt. 5:39-48, Eph. 5:1).

No one disputes the difficulty of living a Christian life in this world.  However we have a Helper here and with the Father making intercession for us.  More detailed information on being a disciple of Christ as we sojourn through this world can be found here:
